Note that we are unable to officially promote or endorse
IOSAT for the protection of pets since our approved labeling by the FDA does not
cover this.
However, thyroid function in many animals is very similar to
humans, so, unofficially, we are very confident the product would prove to be
safe and effective. For pets under 25 lbs, we would recommend 1/4 tablet for
dosing in a radiation emergency. For pets from 25 to 150 lbs., we would
recommend 1/2 tablet.
Most important, though, is that we would recommend that
any questions be addressed to a qualified veterinarian.
